I love talking about free games on here, more specifically, I love talking about free games that are actually good that you can actually play. However, this one will be a little bit different, as I'm just gonna throw the entire kitchen sink at you.
If you haven't heard of it, there's a great little resource out there to help with finding some types of free games. I don't mean the crappy free to play games that have a terrible paywall that rapes your wallet of cash at a certain point, but actual freeware and abandonware games. Go to the myabandonware site to check out the ever-growing and already huge list of free games you can download.
A word of caution, though. It isn't like GOG or some other platforms that actually try to update the game for modern systems, so some (or even most games) will still require some technical tinkering like unofficial patches, no-cd cracks, and file editing know-how to work properly. But, if you are missing an old or classic game, one that is no longer distributed, or just plain forgotten, then this is the place for you as they have all sorts that you just can't get anywhere else.
