Modern Jet Combat

Since I've been on a bit of an aviation kick on here recently, here's an interesting little clip I found on reddit recently that helps illustrate to people how quickly things can happen and how chaotic modern jet warfare can be.  This is footage of Iranian F-4 Phantoms attacking targets of opportunity during the Iran-Iraq war.

That opening shot and the the AAA fire that starts around the 20 sec mark seems particularly terrifying to be around to experience it. 

So, to change gears to something a little less harrowing, here's an F-14 making a night pass with afterburner while dropping flares.
